Shipping Information
Currently "order turnaround" is about 8 weeks.
Many orders will be custom-created and shipped to you within 1-3 weeks, but if we need to wait for an out-of-stock flower or ribbon/accessory to arrive, or are experiencing a 'busy' order period, this will delay your creation process, unless you have chosen Rush/Expedited Shipping.
We are always mindful of your wedding event date. Always include the Wedding Date, and a "Need By Date" in your final order comments. If your order allows, we may create it closer to your date (ie, if your wedding is 24 weeks away, we may create it the 10-12th week), to allow us time to do a devoted job, not a speedy job.
Silk Specialties ships most packages (regular shipping) via United States Postal Service - Priority Mail with Signature Confirmation. At times we may ship with FedEx, UPS, DHL or other carrier depending on recipient's location, or the package weight/size. A Tracking Number will always be provided.
"Rush" Shipping is usually FedEx Standard Overnight or USPS Express. Rush shipping also includes us prioritizing the order creation in-house. Remember, as many of our items are custom-created, setting an order to Rush doesn't mean it will actually ship out same-day.
"Overseas" Shipping will generally be shipped via USPS Global Priority or Global Express. Time-sensitive orders may be shipped via FedEx International. We can estimate a delivery date (as provided by the International Shipper) but we cannot guarantee this date for International Orders. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need to arrange a specific shipping method.
What are your Shipping & Handling rates? What about Insurance?
Shipping charges will be added to your total bill. For each order there is a Shipping, Handling, Insurance and Delivery Receipt (Signature Confirmation) fee depending on weight and complexity of packaging. This is calculated in our webstore as the Shipping: amount in your basket.
Rush Handling & Shipping may also be applicable to some orders and may not be calculated accurately on the web site. Some international orders may be subject to additional fees, tariffs or special shipping considerations. Please remember that these are payable by you, the recipient, and may vary from country to country.
All orders are Insured for their full value in case of damage or loss during shipment. Silk Specialties is not responsible for package(s) once they leave our offices. Occasionally shipping companies may mis-route a package or otherwise delay it, please allow plenty of time when placing your order, as we cannot be held responsible nor issue refunds or returns for carrier delays. In the case of shipper-related damage, please report this to the carrier immediately. Take good photographs of the damaged box, and the damaged items, as you unpack them. Contact Silk Specialties immediately after you have documented the damage for further instruction. Silk Specialties will either exchange or repair damaged items. Recovery of shipper-related loss or mis-delivery of packages can be a lengthy process. Please contact the Shipper, with your Tracking Number and ask them to 'trace' or help locate your package. Once they have located your package, they will promptly deliver it.
How & When is my order Shipped?
Wedding Florals or supplies are shipped by ground carrier and in some instances will need to be drop shipped to insure timely delivery to you. Orders, if out of stock, may carry a 3-8 week delivery time.
In some cases, we may need to ship your items rapidly or substitute like-or-better quality items to meet your deadlines or requests. Please contact us as soon as possible after receiving the photos if you wish to have changes made before this shipment occurs.
